About Me

Growing up, I wasn't as confident as others thought that I was. Most of the time I was just trying to be as "perfect" as I could be. I tried to be as put together and as on top of things as possible. Not only did I struggle with self esteem, but I also struggled with finding value in my writing. But I realised that this is a gift that has been given to me by God, and it would be a waste to not use it.

I started this blog as an energetic and bushy-tailed varsity student, wanting to make an impact in people's lives in some small way. I have evolved as a human being since then and this blog has evolved with me. I have learned a lot along the way, and I've also learned how to let go.

I am an Occupational Therapist by profession. I am particularly passionate about mental health, and this has become a major theme in recent blogs. I hope to continue using this blog to share my deepest thoughts and revelations with you. In-between blog posts will be poetry that will be giving you a glimpse into my life and thought process at the moment. Some poetry pieces will reflect what is happening in the world at the moment.

I hope that in sharing all that I am going through in the quest to living a fulfilled life, that you will join me on this journey.

May we go on this together as we navigate through life, while tenaciously grabbing ahold of our purpose and finding meaning in this life. As theologian Howard Thurman once said, "Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
